Romancing the Novel

Great story of the werewolf pack in Montana. This story runs parallel sort of with Brigg's Mercedes Thompson Series. Be sure to first read On the Prowl which is a short story about how Charles and Anna met. I am glad that I read Mercedes series first, but it is not necessary. It did give me insight on how the packs worked and some clue as to Bran. We do find out a great deal of Bran's past in this book.
However, this story is really about Charles and Anna. Anna was forced into being a werewolf by a calculated and planned attack by the Chicago pack, which that whole story is in On the Prowl. She was beaten and repeatedly raped by packmates as a reward to them via the Alpha Leo. Needless to say she has a lot of baggage to deal with. Charles came in and saved her and also immediately his wolf knew she was his mate. He takes her to Montana where she is starting to learn how a pack really should work and also to get to know and fall in love with Charles. Naturally bad things are afoot and she and Charles are called into action to save the pack.
