I am a big fan of Linda Howard, but this one was not on my keeper list. The story was good, at least the idea of it was. There were just some things that didn't add up. I mean, how could Grey's father just walk away and NOBODY looked for him for 12 years. Come on, someone would have looked for him. This man owned most of the town... just didn't add up. Same with Faith's mother. At the least social services would be looking for her. She did have that fancy car that could be traced easily enough. So that whole part of the story was just too hard to swallow. I know its fiction and a writer can state whatever they want, but at least try to make it more believable. I did like Faith and Grey's characters though.
