3 1/2 stars. The characters were all well written, and I loved the hero, Ash. I felt his pain over his feelings about his dyslexia. That part was very well written, having a close family member with the same degree of dyslexia, I know that the self esteem issues related to this can be devastating. Although I don't know how the author plans to have Ash do all his dukely duties without letting the whole Parliament or whomever, know about his inability to read.
The biggest problem I had with the story was they spent way too much time at Parford Manor. Truly, I was going stir crazy there. Even when Ash left for a week in London, we did not go with him. We were stuck at the manor with Margaret. The rest of the series looks like it will be more interesting than this one. I will continue on.
