Romancing the Novel

Immediately, I disliked Cynthia entirely! I thought, please tell me this is NOT the heroine! And Miles, to feel love at first sight for this witch? Please...
BUT by the second chapter I was all in for the two of them, hook, line and sinker. ~sigh~ Julie Ann Long's writing drew me in, made me feel everything they were feeling. I love when a book can actually make me laugh out loud and cry a bit. When she shot the marble penis off the statue!I thought I was going to fall on the floor laughing.... I was however hoping that at some point, Cynthia would find out that the Earl she was heard to be related to, died and she was the only heir to a fortune :) But that would have simplified and tied everything up too neatly. I am looking forward to reading and enjoying the rest of this series.
